B) Vocational counselling

Vocational counselling helps an individual to choose a right job or career and also help to adapt to the job while vocational guidance means to help by providing information regarding various vocations and jobs.
Counsellors and psychologist published a book known as student service manual for college and university students. It helps in three (3) ways.
1)      It helps to develop self understanding so that the student is able to evaluate his objective, strengths and emotions.
2)      It gives information of different types of vocation that would enable the students to make a right choice.
3)      It mentions about the qualification that are required for a particular job and appropriate responsibility attached to it.
The main focus of a vocational counselling is on vocational planning which includes curricular choice and also the necessary motivation required for scholastic achievement.
It is the process of classifying the vocational objectives.
It is the process which helps the client to discover facts about him and working world which client was earlier unaware of.
Vocational counselling provides complete career information sometime the client has already made a choice but is not confident about his own choice so goes to the vocational counselors to confirm his choice.

Placement counselling
Placement counsellors are mediator between those who offer jobs and those seeks job. Counsellor helps the individual to know the opportunities available and also makes the person aware of the best suitable job accordingly to his interest and abilities.
